India beat Western Australia XI by 74 runs

Perth, Jan 8 (IBNS): Indian batsmen, specially Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli, showed they are in good touch as they helped their side beat Western Australia XI by 74 runs in a practice T20 clash here on Friday.

Riding on Dhawan and Kohli' s individual 74 runs innings , India posted 192 for the loss of four wickets and then  restricted the opponents at 118 for six to win the clash.

Dhawan hammered eight boundaries  and three sixes in his 46-ball knock while the Indian Test skipper contributed with seven boundaries and three over-boundaries in 44-balls 74.

Skipper MS Dhoni showed some form as he hammed 14-ball 22 where he hit a boundary and two sixes.

Chasing 193 for victory,

Travis Birt  was the only man from the Australian side who looked positive in his intent as played a 60-ball 74 runs knock.

He hit 11 boundaries in his innings.

Barinder Sran, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel  took two wickets each for India.
