Gayle storm destroys Kings

Bangalore, May 6 (IBNS): A blistering 57-ball 117 by Chris Gayle helped Royal Challengers Bangalore post a mammoth 138 runs victory against Kings XI Punjab in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Wednesday.

Posting 226 runs for the loss of three wickets, RCB bowled out Kings for 88 runs.

He hit seven boundaries and 12 sixes in his knock.

Virat Kohli  (32) and AB de Villiers (47) added some runs with their willows in a match that was completely dominated by Gayle's storm.

Sandeep Sharma took two wickets for Kings.

Mitchell Starc and Sreenath Aravind destroyed the Kings innings by picking up four wickets for RCB.

Axar Patel  remained the top scorer for the side with his 40.
