India Blooms News Service | | 11 Nov 2014, 03:42 pm
Mumbai, Nov 11 (IBNS): The one-off warm-up match between India Women 'A' and visiting South African Women's team has been cancelled, as the Proteas has not yet arrived in the country.

On Tuesday, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Sanjay Patel has released a statement saying the two-day warm up game has been called off.

The release said: "There has been an unforeseen delay in the arrival of the South African women's team in India.

The two-day warm-up game between India 'A' and the visitors, which was to be played at Alur on 12-13 November, has been called  off, as a result.

The visitors will begin their tour with the one-off Test at Mysore, which starts on 16 November, as scheduled. The remainder of the match-schedule is unchanged."

There has been no clarification made on why the Proteas Women team delayed their arrival.
