Kolkata shines on India’s Got Talent stage

Kolkata, Feb 12 (IBNS) : Colors' flagship talent-based reality show India’s Got Talent has commenced auditions for the year 2016 – and the first stop was Kolkata.

The auditions were held in the city on Feb 10 and 11 at Swabhumi Heritage Plaza.

Flooding the venue with impressive and unique talent, the Kolkata stage witnessed talents across every form including dancers, acrobats, gymnasts, bands, singers, buzz and bizarre acts, yoga, and illusionists. 

The Kolkata auditions witnessed a strong turnout with close to 1500 people auditioning for the stage in Mumbai and 75 were selected!

On receiving a stupendous response to the Kolkata auditions of India’s Got Talent, Sidharth Shukla said, “When it comes to talent, Kolkata is known to be the powerhouse. The varied art forms and different kinds of talent that we have witnessed today are a testimony of the city’s ability to create waves nationally and internationally. Their sportsmanship is unparalleled and they fill the air with incredible energy and positivity. As we wrap up auditions in the city, I would like to urge people from across the country to step out and participate in the show.”

Speaking about India’s Got Talent pursuit for talent in Kolkata, Pooja Banerjee said, “The past two days have been delightfully surprising and very eventful. The caliber of talent in Kolkata, my hometown, is incredible. We would like to invite every talented person in the country to come and showcase their best. India is waiting to see them on their television screens and change their perception of outstanding talent all over again."
