During his visit to Kolkata, Karan Kundra said, “I wanted to make my comeback into the fiction genre with a very unique show and MTV Fanaah fit the bill perfectly. For the first time, I play the role of a vampire which is challenging and a lot of fun. I’m sure all the young viewers will love our show, being at the edge of their seats with lots of goose-bumps at all times. I’m very kicked today to be here in Kolkata and hope I get to relish the famous delicacies here.”

Playing the role of a werewolf has been challenging and extremely satisfying for me as an actor. My experience has been completely unbelievable plus refreshing, and I hope the viewers will feel the same. Moreover, I am super charged up in Kolkata today, it’s been quite an eventful time. I hope to get the time to visit Flury’s , heard the blueberry cheesecake there is a must have.”

Paired opposite Karan Kundra and Rithvik Dhanjani on MTV Fanaah will be popular television actress Chetna Pande.

Talking about the show in Kolkata,Chetna Pande added, “This is my first ever daily fiction show on Indian television and I’m very excited to be a part of it. The show is going to be a feast for the viewers with a strong love story splattered with elements of fantasy. MTV Fanaah will prove to be a path breaking show on Indian television and it’s a pleasure to be here in Kolkata to promote the show.”

The series concept took shape when MTV concluded the 11000 youth research across 40 cities earlier this year.

Speaking further about the show, Sumeli Chatterjee, Head – Marketing and Insights at MTV India said, “Love stories have always found favor with the youngsters. The MTV research additionally suggested that the youth are captivated by fantasy love tales and the supernatural world. They are in love with the idea of eternal romance. Building on these findings, we decided to come up with MTV Fanaah which shall prove to break the monotony of the current youth genre on Indian television. And in order to make the show more relatable, you will notice that the characters in MTV Fanaah are not black or white. They are not good or bad but good and bad thus making it for more interesting viewing.”
