Monsoon is here and we can’t stay calm. There are so many memories, both good and bitter, attached to the season. Along with giving us respite from the sweltering heat, the rainy season also makes those special memories alive. The star cast of Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta kya Kehlata Hai star cast talk about their favourite monsoon memory, and favourite monsoon song that you love to sing or listen to. Read on:

Pranali Rathod
My favourite monsoon memory is sitting at home eating pakoras and watching old films with my mom. And, my favorite songs are from Jab We Met, Tum Se Hi and Aaoge Jab tops the list.

Karishma Sawant
Favourite monsoon memory is from my childhood days. Back in those days, we used to play in the puddles. There were so many games that we enjoyed in the water puddles. And, the monsoon that I love to hear most of the time is Barso Re Megha Megha…. It is a beautiful track.

Pragati Mehra
Favourite monsoon memory is to get drenched in the rain on the terrace of my house in Delhi, especially during ‘pehli baarish’. My favourite song is Mausam Mastana…Rasta Anjana..Jaane Kis Mod Pe Ban Jaye Koi Afsana.

Ashish Nayyar
One of my favourite monsoon memories is when my brother (Anuj Nayyar) and I used to come back from school and our grandparents forced us to change and have lunch and start studying. But, once, we decided to go and enjoy doing the rain dance. We must be around 5-6 yrs old at that time. I remember grabbing my father’s lungi, took a stick and dragged Anuj to do bhangra in the rain (laughs).

Ami Trivedi
My favorite monsoon memory is going to Lonavala and Mahabaleshwar with my hubby and enjoying roadside pakoras and chai at Tiger valley. The song that I love listening to during this time is Rimjhim Rimjhim from 1942 A Love Story.

Neeraj Goswami
I love monsoons in general, it makes me feel close to nature. Every year, I try to find a puddle or a pool of water to run through it barefoot like a kid. That feeling is priceless and that is my most favourite memory. Apart from that I sometimes collect rainwater and drink it from a glass and believe me, every time it feels like the most soulful tasting water I have ever had. My favourite monsoon song would be Neele Neele Ambar Par.

Mayank Arora
That would be when I was in Phuket, no umbrella and had street food when it was pouring cats and dogs. It was absolutely perfect and beautiful. There is no specific song, I like listening to it. But yes, I enjoy any light romantic music and I also love whistling to them as well while sitting next to the window while it rains.
