Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata gets new Superior General after 13 years

Kolkata/IBNS: Missionaries of Charity, which was established by late Nobel Peace laureate Mother Teresa as a Catholic religious congregation in 1950, has got its new Superior General after 13 years, media reports said.

Kolkata/New Delhi/IBNS: Hours after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had accused the BJP-led Central government of "freezing" all the bank accounts of Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity (MoC), the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday evening claimed it did not freeze any account of the charity founded by the late Nobel Peace laureate. The MoC also later issued a statement denying any freezing of their accounts.
