Darjeeling, June 27 (IBNS): Local authorities on Tuesday extended the ban on internet till July 4 midnight in Darjeeling Sadar, Kurseong and Mirik Sub Divisions in Darjeeling district of West Bengal.

Darjeeling unrest likely to escalate today

Darjeeling, June 18 (IBNS): Amid escalating tension in the hills of West Bengal, Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM)'s protests over the demand for a separate state in Darjeeling are set to intensify with party chief Bimal Gurung asking his supporters to defy curfew and assemble at Chowk Bazaar on Sunday, media reports said.
