Gained independence when I played for India for first time: Sania

Mumbai, Aug 15 (IBNS):  Indian tennis star Sania Mirza on Wednesday said she gained independence when she started playing for her country.

Sania shared a video on Twitter.

She wished Indians on Independence Day on Wednesday. 

Sania is expecting a child with her husband and Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik.

"The day I won the first point for my country on international turf was the day I got freedom from my naysayers. That was #MyIndependenceDay. When was yours? @olacabs," Sania tweeted.

India is celebrating its Independence Day on Wednesday.
