England beat India to level series 1-1

Cardiff, July 7 (IBNS): England bounced back to defeat India in the second T20 International match by five wickets here on Friday.

After India were restricted to 148 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs, England batsmen reached 149 by losing five wickets and with two balls to spare.

Alex Hales remained the man of the night for England as he played an unbeaten heroic knock of 41-ball 58 which ensured English victory.

He remained unbeaten till the end and hit four boundaries and three sixes in his knock.

Umesh Yadav picked up two wickets for India.

Virat Kohli (47), Suresh Raina (27) and MS Dhoni (32*) added some runs with their bats as India reached a competitive total at the end of their innings.

Indian team suffered a mini-collapse at the beginning and were reduced to 3-22.

Rohit Sharma (5), Shikhar Dawan (10) and KL Rahul (6) failed to get the perfect start at the beginning of the innings for India.

The series is leveled 1-1.
