SRH beat Mumbai Indians by 31 runs

Mumbai, Apr 25 (IBNS): Mumbai Indians suffered 31 runs defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad in an IPL match on Tuesday.

On its home turf, Mumbai Indians bowlers first bowled out the opponents for 118 runs but were then themselves restricted to 87 runs in 18.5 overs.

Apart from Krunal Pandya (24) and Suryakumar Yadav (34), the rest of the Mumbai team could not even score in double digit mark.

Skipper Rohit Sharma only contributed 2 runs with his willow.

Mumbai kept losing wickets at regular intervals to eventually fall short of even giving Sunrisers a challenge in the match.

Siddarth Kaul picked up three wickets for Hyderabad while Afghanistan's Rashid Khan and  Basil Thampi grabbed two for the visitors.

Earlier, Kane Williamson (29) and Yusuf Pathan (29) remained the top scorers for the visitors as Sunrisers posted a low 118 runs on the scoreboard.

Mumbai are the current champions.
