MS Dhoni's aggressive batting helps Pune to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets

Pune, Apr 22 (IBNS): Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is known as a great finisher of the game, helped Rising Pune Supergiants to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets with his aggressive knock of unbeaten 61, in yet another nail biting match of the Indian Premier League, on Saturday.

Chasing the total of 176/3 of SRH, Pune was lagging behind the asking rate despite the half century from Rahul Tripathy and a brief 30s of the skipper Steve Smith.

At one point of time, Pune faced tough challenge particularly after the loss of the wicket of Ben Stokes, as they were reduced 121/4 with only four overs left to cross the mark.

Dhoni, who was not among runs in this season of IPL partnered Manoj Tiwari to take the match to the last ball and eventually did hit a boundary to win the match for Smith's team, very much similar to his power pact batting against KXIP in IPL 9.

Man of the match Dhoni has hit five fours and three sixes in his innings of 61 with almost close to strike rate of 200.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Bipul Sharma and Rashid Khan took one wicket each for the SRH.

Earlier, Pune captain Steve Smith winning the toss sent the visiting team Sunrisers to bat and the latter posted a total of 176/3.

Moises Henriques and David Warner were among the top scorers with 55 and 43 runs respectively.

Daniel Christian had the best bowling figure for the RPS with 1/20 in four overs.
