Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in Asia Cup clash

Dhaka, Mar 4 (IBNS) In a consolation victory, Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by six wickets here on Friday.

After Sri Lanka scored 150 runs for the loss of four wickets, Pakistan scored 151 runs for the loss of four wickets with four balls to spare.

Umar Akmal smashed a crucial 48 which included four boundaries and two sixes.

Sarfraz Ahmed contributed 38 runs with his willow.

Pakistan failed to qualify for the finals.

Earlier, Dinesh Chandimal (58) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (75) added 110 runs in the first wicket partnership  which helped Sri Lanka post 150 runs on the scorecard.

Mohammad Irfan took two wickets for Pakistan.
