Kolkata, Dec 24 (IBNS): At a glittering ceremony the victorious team of the inaugural edition of the Indian Super League, Atlético de Kolkata, was felicitated by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee besides other dignitaries from the State Government and Kolkata Municipal Corporation at Netaji Indoor Stadium.
The jubilant team management and Indian players who attended the felicitation basked in their glory as Chief Minister congratulated the players, co-owners and members of the team management for making Kolkata proud and bringing football back in reckoning.
The team, Atlético de Kolkata conquered the imagination of the fans across the City during the course of ISL.
The team management and players thanked everyone who made this three month long journey exciting and competitive.
Atlético de Kolkata team also extended their gratitude towards the West Bengal Government and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who has always supported the team’s initiatives.
The team has ambitious plans of setting up a superlative infrastructure that will be at par with international standards and will join hands with co-owners Atlético de Madrid to impart the best training facilities.
The Chief Minister has promised to help this noble endeavour with the right infrastructure and land possibily in New Town.
