SS Rajamouli's RRR won hearts at the Oscars Awards last year and this year the movie returned once again when clippings of it featured in a video created by the Academy to pay tribute to the stunt sequences in the films.

The official X page of the Academy shared the clipping that also featured Oscar-nominated actors Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt who highlighted the contribution of stunt coordinators to cinema.

RRR makers 'thanked' the Academy for the gesture and posted on X: "And again, a sweet surprise for us."

"Glad that @TheAcademy included #RRRMovie action sequences as part of their tribute to the world’s greatest stunt sequences in cinema," the movie page posted.

RRR's blockbuster track Naatu Naatu clinched the  Best Original Song at the Oscars last year.

The song was also performed at the ceremony.

The Naatu Naatu live performance by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava at the Oscars 2023 received a warm welcome as the audience gave a standing ovation to it.

Indian actress Deepika Padukone, who was one of the presenters at the awards last year, introduced the lively act.

Apart from Oscars, the song had also won the Best Song at the 80th Golden Globe Awards.

The movie also won the Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu at the Critics Choice Awards in the same year.
