Amitabh Bachchan injured during Project K shoot in Hyderabad

Hyderabad/IBNS: Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan was injured during the shoot for his upcoming film Project K in Hyderabad.

Bachchan was injured during an action shot.

He has consulted a doctor and underwent a CT scan.

The shooting has been suspended for now.

The 80-year-old actor wrote in his blog, "In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured .. rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage .. canceled shoot ..

"did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home .. strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain .."

"So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs ..," he added. (sic)

Bachchan said he will be resting at her Mumbai residence Jalsa mostly "lying around".

Project K, a fantasy drama, features actors Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead.

The film is expected to be released next year.
