Mumbai, Mar 25 (IBNS): In yet another marketing innovation by team Piku, the makers have released a video invite by Deepika Padukone for the film's trailer launch on Wednesday. And this time, the surprise is for the media.

Deepika is inviting media persons to not just cover the trailer launch but also bring their parents along to meet her and rest of the cast and crew of this family comedy drama.

Built around the theme of the film, a quirky father-daughter relationship, the video invite which is being sent to the media persons in Mumbai shows us Piku, (Deepika) lamenting that it’s impossible to leave her Baba alone (Amitabh Bachchan) and then she goes on to add that if you too face such an issue with your parents, then bring them along.

Film maker Shoojit Sircar added, that, “While we were brainstorming with regards to the marketing of the film, the team came up with this concept as it goes well with the story.”

It comes close on the heels of a very innovative teaser of the film, where the cast-Deepika, Amitabh and Irrfan are shown having an argument on the merits of its upcoming trailer and promotions.
