New Delhi: The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) on Monday launched a poster campaign against the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre over soaring prices of petrol, diesel and LPG cylinder.

"Ever since the elections (Assembly) are over, bad days of people have started. The burden of inflation is increasing continuously on the people. The trust and confidence of the public has completely eroded from the Modi government," IYC national president Srinivas BV said after launching the campaign here.

Attacking the ruling BJP, the Youth Congress chief said, ''The government, intoxicated by power, is only engaged in doing good to itself and its 'friends'. It does not see the miseries of the people."

Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, " The public has to pay the price for the false rhetoric of 'achche din' (good days)."

Talking about the campaign, Youth Congress's national media in-charge Rahul Rao said, "IYC has started a poster campaign under which posters on price will be put up at various places in the national capital and across the country."

The public is paying a heavy price for the false promises of good days, he asserted.

"We demand that at the earliest, the government should stop the 'loot'," Rao said.
