3-day traffic restrictions imposed in Delhi for Obama's visit

New Delhi, Jan 19 (IBNS): A three-day traffic restriction has been imposed in the national capital owing to US President Barack Obama's visit to India on the occasion of Republic Day.

According to reports, Rafi Marg, Janpath and Man Singh Road of New Delhi will be closed for public from Jan 24 to 26.

Maurya Sheraton Road, Sardar Patel Marg and Teen Murti will also be closed on Jan 26.

The Indian government has upped its security grid and a seven-layer security ring will be thrown around the VVIP enclosure at Rajpath for the parade on R-Day to be witnessed by the US President.

Obama will be in India from Jan 25-27.
