Looting from public: Rahul Gandhi slams govt over fresh LPG price hike

India Blooms News Service | @indiablooms | 15 Feb 2021, 02:14 pm

New Delhi/IBNS: Congress parliamentarian Rahul Gandhi on Monday made a fresh attack on the Narendra Modi government over the fresh price hike in Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) gas cylinders.

The price of domestic LPG gas cylinders was hiked by Rs. 50 in Delhi.

"Looting from the public. Development for only two," the de facto Congress number two said, accusing the Modi government of benefiting businessmen Anil Ambani and Gautam Adani.

In Parliament last week, Gandhi had cornered the central government over the farmers' protests saying the Centre is working only for Ambani and Adani.

CPI-M leader Sitaram Yechury tweeted, "Modi government’s merciless attacks on people’s livelihoods continues unabated, while its policies permit cronies & the rich to amass greater wealth by the loot of national assets. This will be resisted and reversed by popular struggles."
