New Delhi/IBNS: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to refer the pleas challenging the abrogation of Article 370 to a larger bench.

The five-judge bench, headed by Justice NV Ramana, will continue to hear the pleas challenging the abrogation of Article 370.

The Centre on Aug 5, 2019, abrogated Article 370 withdrawing the special status which Jammu and Kashmir used to enjoy since Independence.

Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) People's Union of Civil Liberties, Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association and an intervener had sought a referral of the matter to a larger bench.
