Man allegedly rapes his 12-year-old daughter in Andhra Pradesh

Eluru, Jul 8 (UNI) In an inhuman incident, a man allegedly raped his 12-year-old daughter and impregnated her at Buttayagudem village in West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, police on Monday said.

Police said "the 12-year-old victim is studying 7th class. Her father and mother live separately and the girl lives with her father in Buttayagudem village."

The mother of the victim went to Buttayagudem village to see her daughter on Sunday when she noticed that her daughter was ill, she took her daughter to a nearby hospital, where the doctors confirmed that the girl was in the third month of her pregnancy.

When the woman questioned her daughter, she told that her father had been molesting her for the last few months.

Mother of the victim immediately lodged a complaint with the Buttayagudem police station.

Sub-inspector K Nagaraju registered a case and referred the girl to the government general hospital in Kakinada for medical examination.

The irate villagers, after knowing about this shocking incident, thrashed the rapist father.

Talking to media, the villagers demanded rigorous punishment to the accused.

The police reportedly took the accused into custody.
