Guwahati, Apr 12 (IBNS): As part of India voted in the first phase of the Lok Sbaha polls on Thursday, Indian PM Narendra Modi has said that he can sense a 'massive wave' is flowing in favour of his government.

He said the opposition will find it difficult to survive in the polls.

"From what we know so far, a massive wave for Modi government is flowing once more," Modi said addressing a public rally in Silchar area of Assam.

"The people have decided that it will be difficult for the opposition parties to survive in the polls this time," he said.

Ninety-one constituencies in 18 states and two union territories exercised their franchise in the first phase of polling on Thursday.

Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
