Singer Abhijeet faces trouble for 'abusing' journalist over Twitter
He told NDTV that he wasn't a politician and doesn't "think much before writing anything".
Following objections over his post on the killing of an Infosys employee recently, the singer had "targeted" woman journalist Swati Chaturvedi and jantakareporter.com's editor-in-chief, Rifat Jawaid over Twitter.
A police case has been filed against the singer after Chaturvedi registered a case over the issue. The case could be treated as sexual harassment.
"For all those asking complaint with number 48(B) filed with @DelhiPolice as asked for by @MumbaiPolice do take action!" posted Chaturvedi on her Twitter handle.
The singer had reportedly posted on Twitter that the murder of the Infosys employee was a result of love jihad to which the two journalists had objected.
"Pure filth @MumbaiPolice he's trying to forment communal riots & abuse rather obvious. Why no action?" the journalist had tweeted in reaction.
To this Abhijeet reportedly abused Chaturvedi over Twitter, posting: “बेशरà¥à¤® बà¥à¤¢à¤¼à¤¿à¤¯à¤¾..U not proud of Indians? Wats your breed? U sk pakis..I fk Pakis, U lick..I kick, dnt block just wait.(sic)”
