Mumbai, Aug 29 (IBNS) : At Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015, the Anand Kabra collection presented by DHL was a great melding of effortless style and modernism.

As the ramp lights came on, the models glided down wearing ensembles that revealed Anand’s distinct creative accents. It was a trendy line of separates that will please the stylish urban woman whose days are packed from dawn to dusk with multiple events.

The predominantly oriental inspired range had clever juxtaposition of prints, textures and embroidery. For Anand, colour was the basis of his collection, which he chose with utmost care. An earthy palette unfolded on the runway where pristine white, pink, sand, chartreuse, forest, stripes and neutral black were the background for the garments. Bringing embellishments in a controlled manner, Anand restricted them to hand painting, handmade lace and some very opulent 3D embroidery.

Starting the show with a long sleeved high collar dress in a classic lean silhouette, the line of multi-striped loose pants and slit leg jumpsuit were followed by the floral, printed line of capes, tunics, cross-over blouses and jackets.  The knee-length floral kimono with dhoti pants and the dolman sleeve short top followed by a sheer double layered kaftan revealed a versatile line. One of the highlights was the long camisole lace edged dress with black bolero that set the pace for the loose satin pants and long sleeve cream lace blouse.

Draped black satin and lace blouse, the ombré peach/black pants, wide slit skirt, sari worn with a bias cut jacket and the long embroidered coat with red/orange shaded pant and top was a glamorous end to the show.

Aimed at the strong, confident, global dresser, the streamlined fuss free collection by Anand Kabra showcased by DHL will delight the style setting woman of the New Age.
