Bangalore student wins BSE international Finance Olympiad

Bangalore, Apr 13 (IBNS): BSE Institute Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the BSE Ltd. hosted the grand finale of its national level event, International Financial Olympiad at their convention hall in Mumbai.
The winner is Vishal Hegde, Standard XI I, CMR National PU College, Bangalore.
 
This event has been gaining momentum amongst schools across India since the last 6 months, and covered more than 2000 schools and saw the participation of more than 15000 students throughout the nation. After going through 2 rounds of screening and selection process, 108 students were selected for the final round, to compete and win this national level competition.
 
 Ambarish Datta, MD & CEO, BSE Institute Ltd. said “BSE International Financial Olympiad is an initiative to extend financial literacy at school level through its flagship innovative and educative national level financial quiz competition. It is aimed at encouraging school students to explore and learn more about financial world by developing analytical and problem solving skills that will be essential to their careers.”
 
Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO, BSE Ltd. said “This is the 3rd successful year of this national level event and every year, the response and participation of schools and students keeps getting multiplied. Through this event, we aim to inculcate in the minds of children, the importance of finance at an early stage which will be beneficial to them in their lives ahead, either professionally or personally”
 
During the initial rounds of BSE International Financial Olympiad, students studying in class 9, 10, 11 and 12 participated in inter school written tests.
 
The student who secured 1st  rank  received a cash prize of Rs:12,000 ,similarly the  2nd rankers received a cash prize of Rs: 10,000 and the  3rd rankers received a cash prize of Rs:8000.
