Canadian 'ISIS bride' in Syria seeks to return home

Ottawa, Feb 18 (IBNS): Canadian woman, who had once married an ISIS-supporting husband and shifted to Syria, is now seeking to return to her own country, media reports said.

Amy (34) is one of the four Canadian ISIS brides who illustrated her experience to CTV News.

After marrying a Muslim man, she had converted herself to Islam.

"He started learning about the religion more and he just felt like it wasn’t suitable for us to stay in Canada anymore," she told CTV News.

"At first, it’s terrifying. It’s absolutely terrifying when you’re just walking on the street and you hear a plane coming. You just freeze," she added.

After Amy's husband died, she got married to a Bosnian man, who eventually died three months later.

Amy, who is now pregnant, said she wants to raise her future child in a "safe environment".

She has been quoted by CTV News, "I think I should be allowed to go home. I don’t believe I did anything wrong. I didn’t kill nobody. I didn’t do any harm to anybody.”
