Edmonton, Aug 4 (IBNS): Alberta police have detained one man and seized a car while probing into the case in which a German tourist was shot at his head, media reports said.

The incident occurred in rural Alberta on Thursday.

Police reportedly found a black sedan which matched with the description of a vehicle that was involved in the incident.

RCMP's press release has been quoted by CTV News, "One adult male who was at the property has been detained."

The victim was rushed to death with bullet in his head.

Three other family members, who were inside the car, sustained injuries.

Sgt. Tom Kalis was quoted by CTV News as saying, "One of the theories that we are working through right now is a possible road rage incident."

"And so one of the possibilities is that as this vehicle was passing the Dodge Dakota, that there was a discharge of a firearm.”

Kalis even stated that the incident is isolated.

"We don't perceive a risk to the public at all. It's certainly a rather serious and disturbing incident but we don't have any evidence to suggest that this is anything relating to series of crimes.”
