Havana, May 21 (IBNS): Several Canadians, who went to Cuba to spend vacations, are unable to return to their own country after a plane crash in the capital city.

On Friday, a flight from Havana had crashed shortly after it took off.

The incident claimed 110 lives. Only three out of 113 passengers and crew members could survive the crash.

Nancy Charland, who is from Montreal, has no idea when she will be able to depart. She said she is unable to get any information from the respective airline.

Nancy told CTV News, "I've been trying to hold it together. I have little doubts (where) I start crying because I'm super stressed. I hardly sleep."

Like Nancy, Michael Renard also said he is unable to get any update from the airline.

"Every few hours we keep getting told to come back to get more information," he told CTV News.

Charland said it is possible for 16 people to fly to Varadero and rest to Montreal in another flight. But the airline is giving no information.

The latest plane crash is considered to be the worst airline disaster in Cuban history.
