Shilpa Shetty graces Indian Independence Day celebrations in Toronto

Toronto, Aug 21 (IBNS): Indian actress Shilpa Shetty graced the occasion of Indian Independence Day celebrations which was held on Sunday.

India entered into the 71st year of Independence in 2017.

Shilpa shared a picture on Instagram where she was seen to address the audience in the city.

She captioned the picture saying: "Mera Bhaarat Mahaan 🙏Wear my nationality with pride😬in Toronto at the 70th (71st) Independence Day celebrations #proudindian #grandmarshall."

In another picture which was clicked before the celebration, the actress posed in Arpita Mehta designed gorgeous attire.

"All set to be Grand Marshall at the 70th (71st) Independence Day anniversary in Toronto" she said on the picture.

Toronto, the capital of Ontario province, is one of the major cities in Canada.

India became Independent on August 15, 1947 with the end of British rule in the country for almost 200 years.
