JMB leader killed in grenade blast

Dhaka, Oct 6 (IBNS): Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) leader Mohammed Javed was killed in a grenade blast on Tuesday, media reports said.

He was killed a day after he was arrest in Chittagong.

Babul Akter, additional deputy commissioner of Chittagong police's Detective Branch, said the deceased was accompanying police in a raid on the Oxygen-Kuwaish Road when the incident occurred.

"That is when a grenade exploded and killed Javed. Three policemen also suffered injuries," Akter  told bdnews24.com.
