World Sindhi Congress to demonstrate against killing of Pakistani activist Hidayat Lohar outside British PM's residence

The World Sindhi Congress will demonstrate in London on March 3 over the killing of Sindh-based activist Hidayat Lohar in Pakistan recently.

The body posted on X: "We call upon human rights activists and organizations to unite with us, along with their families and friends, to protest against the brutal murder of Mr. Hidayat Lohar."

"Mr. Lohar was an esteemed educationist and dedicated human rights advocate who tragically lost his life on February 16, 2024, in an attack by an unidentified motorcyclist while en route to his school in the Nasirabad District of Shahdadkot, Sindh, Pakistan," the post said.

"Together, let us demand that the perpetrators be brought to justice in a court of law. We urge all concerned citizens to join us," the post said.

The protest will take place outside the British Prime Minister's Residence.

What happened to Lohar?

Unidentified gunmen recently shot dead human rights activist Hidayat Lohar in Sindh region of Pakistan.

Lohar's family told The Friday Times that he was the headmaster at a local school, Golu Gawans.
