Polio Polio virus has been detected in the environmental samples collected from various districts of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, media reports said.
An official told Geo News that anti-polio campaign will be started in seven districts of the province after the confirmation of polio virus.
The anti-polio drive be carried out in Peshawar, Nowshera, Mohmand, Hangu, Khyber, Kohat and Charsadda from Monday.
According to the statement, polio vaccination will be administered to refugees in Pak-Afghan camps as well, reports Geo News.
As many as 14,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure safety of the polio team.
