Dhaka: Bangladesh has allowed its neighbour Bhutan to export and import goods with third countries through major seaports.

This is in line with the Agreement on Movement of Traffic-In-Transit signed with Bangladesh in Thimphu, reports The Bhutan Live.

The Minister for Industry, Commerce and Employment Karma Dorji and Bangladesh’s Commerce Minister Tipu Minshu signed the agreement, the news portal reported.

After this agreement was reached, Bhutan will now have  an additional export-import ports for third-country trade apart from the existing Kolkatta port in Indian city of West Bengal.
