Colombo: The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has announced Sri Lanka will witness 4 hour and 30 minute power cuts in all regions for three days from Monday due to the lack of sufficient fuel and water to generate electricity, media reports said.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has announced that power cuts will be imposed in 20 zones from 'A' to 'W' between 8.30 am and 6.00 pm for 3 hours and between 6.00 pm and 10.30 pm for 30 minutes, reports Colombo Page.

In the event CEB is compelled to take demand management measures due to inadequate generation as a result of fuel shortage, hydro storage and unavailability of generators, such measures will be limited to the schedule given below, the newspaper reported.

CEB noted that all the feeders assigned to a particular group might not be interrupted depending on the demand and available generation capacity at a particular time.

Further, supply interruption time and restoration time will be varied within 30 mins, reports Colombo Page.
