Islamabad: Pakistan's Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said corruption and money-laundering are the “most important” issues which a country like Pakistan is facing.

“Panama, Pandora and now the story of Swiss accounts . . . First, steal the [public] money and then move it abroad,” Fawad was quoted as saying by The Express Tribune.

Referring to an unnatural alliance between the opposition parties, he said that all money launderers were uniting against the “democratically-elected government”.

The leak revealed how the bank held hundreds of millions of dollars for heads of state, intelligence officials, sanctioned businessmen and human rights abusers, among many others, reports the newspaper.
