Afghanistan registers 290 fresh nCoV cases
Kabul/UNI: The death toll from the Novel Coronavirus cases in Afghanistan has risen to 1,712, with 17 deaths reported in the past 24 hours, the country's Ministry of Public Health reported on Tuesday.
The ministry also said in a statement that 290 new cases were confirmed, bringing the national tally to 45,278 including 7,444 active cases.
The deaths were recorded in six provinces of the country's 34 provinces.
A total of 146 people have recovered and discharged from hospitals since early Monday, according to the ministry.
Laboratories across Afghanistan have completed 141,863 tests since the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic in February in the country, according to statistics of the ministry.
