Peshawar, Dec 16 (IBNS): About 104 people including 84 students lost their lives in Pakistan as Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorists stormed into the Army Public School and College in Peshawar on Tuesday morning.
Among those killed, 84 were school students.

About 90 other students and teachers have suffered injuries while some of them are in a serious condition.

According to reports, about five to six terrorists stormed into the school and targetted the children.

They reportedly shouted slogans against the Pakistani government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supremo Imran Khan.

Security forces surrounded the Army Public School & College soon after the terrorists of the Tehreek-e-Taliban stormed the campus.

About 500 students and teachers were believed to have been taken hostage by the terrorists.

The security forces have cordoned off the school while reports said some children are still being held hostage by Taliban gunmen.

According to reports, two terrorists were also killed, who were asked to attack older children in the school to take revenge against the Pakistani government.

Meanwhile, hospitals are facing severe blood shortages.

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed all civil and military security agencies to rescue every one from the school safely, reports said.

Condemning the incident, Imran Khan tweeted: "Shocked at attack on school in Peshawar. Strongly condemn this inhuman act of utter barbarism."
