Afghanistan: NDS Special Forces seize 2500 kilograms of explosives from Kabul city

Kabul, May 29 (IBNS):  The Special Forces of the National Directorate of Security (NDS)  have recovered  2500 kilograms of explosives from kabul city in Afghanistan, media reports said.

The Afghan Intelligence in a statement said Tuesday that the NDS Special Forces have seized the explosives from Bagrami district of Kabul, reported Khaama Press.

Quoting the statement, the Afghanistan-based news agency reported that  the NDS Special Forces discovered the explosives from a Hino type truck.

According to NDS, the Taliban militants were looking to use the explosives to manufacture Improvised Explosive Devices and car bombs," reported the news agency.

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

No group has commented on the issue so far.
