Pakistan blacklists Hafiz Saeed’s JuD and other terror outfits
Islamabad, Jan 6 (IBNS): Amid mounting pressure by the United States, Pakistan's interior ministry on Saturday blacklisted 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed's organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and several other terror organizations, media reports said.
This comes a day after the US suspended about $2 billion in security aid to Pakistan.
The Donald Trump administration suspended the aid for failing to act against he Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani Network terror groups.
US President Donald Trump on Jan 1 gave a strong message to Pakistan when he said his nation 'foolishly' gave more than 33 billion dollars in aid for the past 15 years but the south Asian nation only provided safe heavens to terrorists.
He had said Pakistan only gave 'lies and deceit' to the US in return to the aid.
"The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more," Trump had tweeted.
