Afghanistan: Airstrikes kill eight Taliban militants, injure three

Kabul, Dec 9 (IBNS): At least eight Taliban militants were killed and three injured in airstrikes carried out by foreign forces in Afghanistan.

The strikes were carried out in the country's Urozgan province.

Confirming the report, local police officials said that it took place in the Zabzak area in Tarinkot, the provincial capital.

Police have also identified one among the deceased as Mullah Qasim, a prominent Taliban leader.

The militant group has so far not commented on the report.
