Afghanistan: Government operation kills at least 80 Taliban insurgents

Kabul, Jan 13 (IBNS): At least 80 Taliban soldiers were killed in a recent operation launched by the Afghanistan government, local Khaama Press reported.

The operation took place in Nimruz province of the country.

The toll was confirmed by the Ministry of Interior.

Two improvised explosive device (IED) manufacturing factories were also destroyed during the operation.

The Taliban is yet to comment on the report.
