Washington, Jun 25 (IBNS): US Presidential candidate and former first lady, Hillary Clinton on Friday pledged her support towards LGBT rights and equal pay.

Commending the US President for honouring the LGBT movement and designating the Stonewall National Monument, Hillary said in a tweet, "Thank you, @POTUS, for marking another important milestone on LGBT Americans' march toward equality. -H."

Reacting to a report that LGBT kids are more prone to bullying, Hillary said that everyone deserves equal respect.

"LGBT kids are perfect the way they are. They deserve love and acceptance—not bullying and violence," she said.

She also voiced support towards equal pay for women and said that age and gender is no bar for payment. She said this in reaction to a report which stated that a 17-year old Kansas teenager was allegedly fired from her job after she found out her male male counterpart was making 25 cents more than her and decided to confront her boss.

The pizza company, her employer, fired her for discussing payments, which they said was against the policy.

"Good for you, Jensen. Every woman deserves equal pay, no matter what her age. Keep up the hard work—and courage!http://hrc.io/28TDkMU  -H," Hillary tweeted.
