Jakarta, June 4 (IBNS): Indonesian security forces have said that the bomber, who was responsible for bombing the Tugu Kartasura Security Post had the explosive strapped to his waist during the attack, media reports said.

"This suicide bomber wore the bomb around his waist, so when the bomb went off, he suffered injuries to his stomach and right hand," National Police's spokesman Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo was quoted as saying by Antara News agency.

The National Police's Counter-terrorism Squad, Densus 88, conducted a search of RA's house in Kranggan, Wirogunan Village, Kartasura Sub-district, Sukoharjo District, Central Java, on early Tuesday, reported the news agency.

Several pieces of evidence believed to be employed in assembling a bomb were recovered from his residence during the search operations, reports said.

"The bomb is of a low-explosive type. It is discovered from the remnants of explosive powder collected from around his abdomen and trousers that later matched with those found at his house, so we conclude that the bomb is a low-explosive variety. This is a suicide bombing attack,"  Prasetyo revealed to Antara.

After the bombing, RA was reportedly taken to PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Kartasura for treatment, reported Antara.

The man, with injuries to his stomach and right hand, was later referred to the Mawardi Regional General Hospital in Surakarta, Central Java, the news agency further said.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The attacker is reportedly an Islamic State sympathizer.

"Based on investigation, the perpetrator has been influenced by the IS teachings,"   Prasetyo was quoted as saying by XInhua news agency.
