Kabul car bomb attack: Two Australian nationals wounded says Julie Bishop

Kabul, Mar 3 (IBNS): At least two Australian nationals were wounded in a car bomb attack which rocked Afghanistan's Kabul city on Friday, Australia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop confirmed.

The bomb was detonated while the Australian embassy vehicles were passing by Kabul Police District 9.

Three persons were killed in the incident.

Additionally, 22 people were injured.

Afghanistan's Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said that a Suzuki vehicle was used by suicide bombers.

No group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility for the attack.

It comes just days after the second Kabul Peace Process conference in which Afghan President Ashraf Ghani made a peace offer to militants.
