Extending mandate of UN mission in Mali, Security Council adds observers to monitor fresh ceasefire

New York, June 30 (IBNS) The Security Council on Monday extended the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) for one year, within the authorized troop ceiling of 11,240 military personnel, including, for the first time, at least 40 military observers to monitor and supervise the country’s newly agreed ceasefire.
