Parents crawl to protest against children's accident in Dharamsala

Dharamsala (Himachal Pradesh), Sep 11 (ANI):  Parents of 26 students, who died after their school bus fell into a deep gorge in Kangra's Nurpur, held a unique protest in Dharamsala. They crawled at the office of District Administration in Dharamsala as a mark of protest and demanded that CBI inquiry be done in the incident. Through their protest they showed dissatisfaction on the investigation report of the accident prepared by ADM Kangra. 26 students had died after a school bus rolled down into a deep gorge in Nurpur area of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh on April 9. Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had ordered a magisterial probe to ascertain the cause of the accident.

Parents protest outside school against rape of 6-year-old

New Delhi, Aug 10 (ANI): Angry parents of students protested outside a government school in Gole Market where a six-year-old girl was raped. The parents accused the school of not allowing them to enter the school. However, the man who committed the crime was allowed. One of the parents said, “Parents are not allowed inside the school premises but an electrician entered the school and raped a girl. The man who committed such crime should be brought here and shot. The governments are sleeping and have no concern towards what is happening in school.” Another parent added, “The school records entry of women and in such situation why did they not register the entry of the man?” A six-year-old student of the government school was raped by an electrician inside the school premises on August 08 and was arrested on August 09.

Two kids of a family drown in 3-ft tank

New Delhi, Apr 02 (ANI): Two kids of a family were drowned in three-feet tank deep. The shocking incident took place in Delhi's Fatehpur Beri, when the children had gone out to play with friends, who live in the same locality. They were first spotted by locals from the area, who found them unconscious in the water and informed their parents.  Later, they who rushed to AIIMS, where they were declared brought dead.

Muslim Parents gets adopted Hindu orphan married in his customs

Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Feb 12 (ANI): A Muslim family from Dehradun has set an example of humanity by neglecting the typical norms in the name of religion and caste, by raising a Hindu orphan boy and marrying him as per his religion's customs. The family of Mouinuddin adopted, Rakesh Rastogi at the age of 12 but never tried to tamper with his religion. Rakesh’s marriage was commemorated pompously. Mouinuddin's wife, Kausar received her daughter-in-law, Soni, as per Hindu traditions. On February 9, the duo was married as per Hindu rituals.

Parents protest outside Carmel Primary School over alleged molestation with class-2 student

Kolkata, Feb 09 (ANI): Angry parents staged a massive protest against the Carmel Primary School in Kolkata over the alleged molestation with a student of Class 2. To express their anguish, parents in huge numbers protested on Friday. However, the accused teacher was detained by the police. Repeated incidents like these have created a trust deficit between the school staff and parents and also raised serious concerns for security of their students in school.

Thane school bans Muslim students, parents from wearing ‘hijab’

Thane (Maharashtra), Dec 26 (ANI): In a shocking incident, a private school in Maharashtra’s Thane has banned Muslim students and parents from wearing ‘hijab’ in school premises. The school authority issued a circular earlier in December, the management of Symbiosis Convent High School cited security reasons for the ban. However, the decision of the school authority sparked a strong protest by parents.

Facebook launches messenger for kids

New Delhi, Dec 05 (ANI): Facebook is rolling out a new app, Messenger Kids. It's coming out as a limited preview on Apple devices in the United States. Facebook's app is designed for users under the age of 13. It lets them do video chats and send photos, videos and texts. But first, kids must get a parental approval. Parents use their Facebook email and password to activate their child's account. They also have control over their kid's online activities. Facebook says the app won't display ads. And the company won't mine data from it.
