Ola continues its Australian expansion

New Delhi: Following successful launches in Perth and Sydney earlier this year, ride hailing platform Ola announced the launch of operations in Melbourne. In lieu of this, Ola is offering passengers free rides from Thursday, for a limited period of time. Following the launch of operations in Australia, Ola has been positively received and achieved 15,000 registrations across the region. Ola offers driver-partners a market low 7.5 percent introductory commission rate and daily payments, helping them earn more money and access it easily. Over the coming months, Ola is working with local stakeholders to continue its rollout in Australia, with future launch cities including Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Canberra, Adelaide, Darwin and Hobart. The company is also developing a number of new initiatives for its customers and driver-partners. These include updates to the Ola app and building its local support team that will help build a better ride share experience.

Portronics launches high capacity car charger

New Delhi: Prominent leader in portable digital product market, Portronics, on Friday introduced "Car Power X" - an ultra-powerful, fast charging, smart car charger for charging smartphones and other digital devices. Yamaha launches YZF-R3 at Auto Expo 2018

Greater Noida, Feb 09 (ANI): Japan’s second-largest motorcycle maker, Yamaha launched its new BS-IV emission norms compliant YZF-R3 sports bike at India’s binennial auto show near New Delhi on Friday. Bollywood actor John Abraham, Yamaha’s face in India, attended the launch at the opening day of Auto Expo 2018 in the satellite city of Greater Noida. Yamaha had pulled YZF-R3 out of the Indian market in April 2017. Priced at nearly rupees 3.48,000, the Yamaha YZF-R3 offers dual channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard, with the engine being paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

Get ready to witness 24 new launches at Auto Expo 2018

New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): The biggest fiesta for car enthusiasts, Auto Expo 2018 is scheduled to commence on February 9th at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. More than 1200 participants from 20 countries will participate in the grand event. Auto Expo India receives the most footfalls per day in comparison to other motor shows globally. event organised by Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM), jointly with the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will unveil 100 products and witness 24 new launches in two wheeler, passenger vehicles and commercial vehicle segments. Kia Motors and Kawasaki India are among the few new entrants in the 14th Auto Expo.

Zoomcar launches cycle sharing service in Mumbai

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Zoomcar on Thursday announced the launch of its eco-friendly cycle sharing service PEDL in Mumbai at the privately developed smart city of Palava. Greg Moran, CEO and co-founder, Zoomcar said that Mumbai is the fifth city, where PEDL has been launched following Pune, Chennai, Kolkata and Bengaluru and emphasized that all amenities are available at short distances in Palava City making it an ideal place for PEDL. PEDL has about 200 cycles in Palava across 30 locations and is expects to hit around 1000 cycles in next one month in different parts of Mumbai. PEDL is designed to complement Zoomcar's existing car sharing business and Palava, which is developed by the Lodha Group would be able to provide its residents a convenient, healthy and environment friendly option for short travels around the city.

Facebook launches messenger for kids

New Delhi, Dec 05 (ANI): Facebook is rolling out a new app, Messenger Kids. It's coming out as a limited preview on Apple devices in the United States. Facebook's app is designed for users under the age of 13. It lets them do video chats and send photos, videos and texts. But first, kids must get a parental approval. Parents use their Facebook email and password to activate their child's account. They also have control over their kid's online activities. Facebook says the app won't display ads. And the company won't mine data from it.

Philippines to probe Sanofi dengue vaccine

The Philippines orders a probe into the immunisation of more than 730,000 children with a vaccine for dengue that has  been suspended following an announcement by French drug company Sanofi that it could worsen the disease in some cases. Silvia Antonioli reports.
