India copes with currency demonetization effect daylong

There was a frenzied rush in all banks and post offices across India on Thursday (Nov 10, 2016) to exchange the now-demonetized Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes and withdraw money. Long queues were witnessed before many banks and many ran out of currencies. ICICI Bank says it dealt with the situation by opening the branches early and catered all clients.
