Supreme Court takes suo motu cognizance over Kasauli violence

Kasauli, May 2 (IBNS): The Supreme Court has taken a suo motu cognizance over the Kasauli violence, in which a town planner was shot to death by a hotel owner as the former was implementing the Supreme Court's directive of demolishing illegal constructions in the hill town of Himachal Pradesh, media reports said.

New Delhi/ Gorakhpur, Aug 14 (IBNS) : The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a plea for taking suo motu cognizance of the deaths of infants in Gorakhpur hospital and institute a Special Investigation Team probe, media reports said.
